Join Shimmy School a day of fun and lively workshops before our evening showcase. Suitable for all levels and abilities, come along to challenge yourself and learn new skills and dances! There will be 2 fun workshops with the opportunity to perform on stage with Özgen.
- 11am – 12pm – Khaleegi with Eleanor
- 12:30pm – 2pm – Turkish Romani Dance with Özgen
Join Eleanor as she takes you to the Gulf regions with this (hair) flipping amazing social dance. This workshop is aimed at those who have been dancing a while, or beginners who enjoy a challenge.

2) Turkish Romani Dance with Özgen
Join Mr Özgen to learn Turkish Romani Dance & perform with him on stage at the hafla. Find you inner fire with this highly popular, fun & energetic dance. Turkish Romani Dance is 9/8 rhythm signature.
