Taste of Cairo Presents…

Join us on a journey along the Nile as we explore Egypt through its rich cultural tapestry of dance. Featuring traditional folk dances, beautiful regional costumes and live percussion. The 2nd half is a dynamic performance portraying Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dance as it endures and evolves over time and across continents. Showcasing dances of the Gulf, Turkish Folk Dance and Fusion Belly Dance in a dazzling display that will take your breath away.
Please note seating is not allocated at this event. This is a ticketless event; please give the name of ticket booker at the door.
Workshops
OPA OPA Restaurant, 136-138 Duke St, Liverpool L1 5BB
10am – 11:45am – Samba Fusion – Join the Taste of Cairo dancers for this joyful and lively fusion dance. Full of colour and fun, join the dancers on stage for the evening show. Ideal for those with dance experience.
12pm – 1:30pm – Khaleegi – Join the Taste of Cairo dancers as they take you to the Gulf regions with this (hair) flipping amazing social dance and join them on stage for the evening show. Ideal for those with belly dance experience.
1:45pm – 3pm – Fan Veils – Learn this lovely fan veil dance with the Taste of Cairo dancers. Ideal for those with belly dance experience; if you have a blue or white professional level oriental style belly dance costume, you can also join the Taste of Cairo dancers on stage*.
Workshop attendees will be given access to a What’sApp group with bitesize videos to help prep for the workshops. Workshop attendees who are also staying for the show will be given priority seating, and a 10% discount at OPA OPA to use before/after the show – details for claiming this discount will be shared with attendees.
